The Veneto has become one of Italy's and Europe's best developed climbing areas. No where else have I found so many well developed and equipped cliffs. It can be contributed to the climbing culture of the area and the fact that many of the bolts, hangers and belay systems are manufactured in region. Within a fifty km radius of Vicenza, Verona, or Belluno you will find 1000's of bolted routes. Well enough to keep you busy during your climbing career or vacation. There are many sites that have been forgotten due to the older climbers getting older, but in the past few years a new surge is taking place and many of these sites are now being cleaned and re-bolted.
