Ceredo was developed in the early 1990's. It quickly became one of the most popular winter sites bringing climbers from the north to the site. This influx of people made the area a bit of a mad house for a while and the traffic polished several of the easier routes. It is a beautiful site and worth a visit but try and do so doing the weekday.
The climbing area has easy access and sits in a tranquil valley just north of Verona. The routes tend to be more physcial than technical, with good holds. The area was difficult to approch for a few years due to road work and this has helped reduce the ware, but first time on the routes most climbers feel the the rock sweats to much and is slippery.
