Valle Daone is a beautiful alpine valley sitting on the southern slope of the Adamello mountain group. The narrow valley has been a popular destination for Ice Climbing for several years and now is enjoying a new surge of interest due to the large amount of boulders throughout the valley. The valley is perhaps the most tranquil and natural settings I have found in Europe and the quality of rock makes this a great destination of someone who just wants to climb and be. There is a large amount of rock to be climbed in the area, but it does take a bit of movement to get from one zone to the other and even in some in zones there is quite a bit distance between boulders.
Getting there
From Trento take the state road SP45b toward Riva del Garda/Sarche. Upon arrival in Sarche take SP 237 toward Tione di Trento/Madonna di C... At Tione take SP237 in the southern direction toward Breguzzo/Bondo. After the town of Roncone you will come to the turn off for Daone. Follow the road up the valley and follow directions within guide to specific sites.
